Digital Preservation Coalition releases Arabic translation of the Executive Guide on Digital Preservation
Added on 11 March 2021
In a move to add to the global resources for digital preservation, the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) and the National Archives of the United Arab Emirates have collaborated to produce an Arabic translation of the Executive Guide on Digital Preservation.
The Executive Guide on Digital Preservation was developed by the DPC in the UK with the support of the UNESCO Memory of the World (MoW) programme.
According to Dr. Abdulla Alraisi, Director General of the National Archives of the United Arab Emirates and the chair of the International Advisory Committee of the MoW programme, "The Executive Guide is an important contribution to the development of digital preservation activities and to the sustainable preservation of documentary heritage in UNESCO Member States. We are delighted to join the DPC in making the Executive Guide more widely available and providing the digital preservation community with more resources."
