Added on 25 March 2025

This month, the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is pleased to announce updates to its leadership. Owned and run by its members, this annual update ensures that members have the opportunity to shape and oversee the programs delivered by the DPC.

The changes are as follows:

Executive Board

The Board welcomes newly appointed members Sean Rippington (University of St Andrews) and Nathan Tallman (Academic Preservation Trust). They will succeed Vicky Plaine (BBC Scotland Archives) who concludes her term as DPC Director on the Board in April 2025 and Roxana Maurer (National Library of Luxembourg) who will step down from the Board in October 2025. We offer them our grateful thanks for all of their contributions during their time on the Board. A full list of the DPC Executive Board members can be viewed here.

The DPC strives to be transparent, responsive and inclusive in everything we do, and the six Sub-Committees are an important way of involving members in the way the DPC is run.

The DPC would like to thank all of the former Sub-Committee members who have stepped down over the last year to allow new members to take their turn, namely: Anais Lichtensztejn, ARA; Julienne Pascoe, Library and Archives Canada; Jaana Pinnick, British Geological Survey; Mark Reynolds, Houses of the Oireachtas; Lisa Griffith, Digital Repository of Ireland; Thomas Shaw, King’s College London; Camille Françoise, Netherlands Institute Sound and Vision; Elizabeth England, NARA; Catherine Jones, UKRI/STFC - Energy Data Centre; Alexander Roberts, Swansea University; Tamara van Zwol, The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision; Lise Jaillant, Loughborough University; Simon Tanner, King’s College London; Vicky Plaine, BBC Scotland Archives; Teresa Soleau, J. Paul Getty Trust; Kate Cawthorn, University of Calgary; Paul Gooding, University of Glasgow, and Daisy Selematsela, University of the Witwatersrand.

They have each brought lively debate and creative ideas to our discussions and we are very grateful for their contributions.

We welcome each of our new Sub-Committee members and the DPC looks forward to working together with our members in what is an exciting time in the Coalition’s development!
