The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has an opening in the Digital Preservation Unit for a GS-13 Senior Digital Preservation Specialist.
As a Senior Digital Preservation Specialist you will:

Advise the Director and Deputy Director of Digital Preservation in the ongoing development, implementation, and operation of the digital preservation program as well as on recommendations for the development and implementation of digital preservation strategies, technologies, guidance, risk criteria, and procedures.

Participate in and manage in short- and long-term projects and initiatives related to the management and ongoing preservation of electronic record holdings.

Gather, interpret, and analyze highly complex data to discern patterns, trends, and relationships to draw conclusions about digital collections.

Serve as a digital preservation subject matter expert and provide consultation for colleagues internal and external to the agency.
The job is remote. Location and salary will be determined at the time of selection. The salary range shown ($103,409 - $167,336 per year) is for the GS-13, step 1 in the Rest of the U.S. through the GS-13, step 10 in the San Francisco/San Jose/Oakland, C.A. locality.
