The Digital Preservation Coalition is working with the University of Glasgow as part of the Our Heritage, Our Stories project to produce a practical toolkit for those working with community generated digital content. The toolkit will include a range of practical guidance, support, and advice aimed at those working with digital records in a community context. We are running a Focus Group on June 7th, and kindly invite you to participate.
The Focus Group is to help identify currently available guidance that should be signposted to, any gaps in the available guidance and any other useful information participants would like to share in relation to the toolkit.
We would like to invite anyone working with digital records in the community archive sector to participate in this Focus Group. The aim of the discussion is:
-
To identify currently available guidance which has been useful in a community archive context
-
To identify currently available guidance which has been less useful in a community archive context
-
What makes this guidance useful or less useful
-
To identify any gaps in currently available guidance that this toolkit could possibly fill
