About the TPDL 2022 Conference in Padua, Italy (20-23 September 2022)
The 26th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries (TPDL) 2022 provides an international reference forum focused on digital libraries and associated technical, practical, and social issues. This year, TPDL 2022 has a focus on bridging the wide field of Research and Information Science with the related field of Digital Libraries, bringing together researchers and practitioners whose work intersects with Digital Libraries and inviting anyone whose works connects with Digital Libraries to participate. The conference draws from a broad and multidisciplinary array of research areas including computer science, information science, librarianship, archival science and practice, museum studies and practice, technology, social sciences, cultural heritage and humanities, and scientific communities.
An overview of the program is available here. For more information, please visit the TPDL 2022 Conference website at http://tpdl2022.dei.unipd.it/
About the FIAT/IFTA World Conference in Cape Town, South Africa (4-6 October 2022)
The Fédération Internationale des Archives de Télévision / The International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT/IFTA) World Conference promotes co-operation amongst radio and television archives, multimedia and audiovisual archives and libraries, and all those engaged in the preservation and exploitation of moving image and recorded sound materials and associated documentation. The theme for this year’s conference is “Archive out of the box!”, meaning not just the travelling of archive material outside of the archive space but also in the figurative sense. The 2022 FIAT/IFTA World Conference programme features the following chapters:
- The archive: an active member of society
- Catering to the basics
- Influencers of technological innovation
- What makes you special
An overview of the programme is available here. For more information, please visit the FIAT/IFTA World Conference 2022 website at https://fiatifta.org/index.php/world-conference-2022-cape-town/.
